If there is a disturbance, unruly party, or other offensive behavior--at ANY time of day--report it promptly! Take action as soon as a disturbance begins, rather than waiting for it to become out of control. It helps everyone when we are proactive about neighborhood disturbances. Call other neighbors to encourage them to report the problem as well.
How to Report a Disturbance:
1. Call the Police. Call the Eugene Police Department's non-emergency line at 541-682-5111. It's very important that you tell the dispatcher that you are willing to sign a complaint and be sure to give the exact street address. Saying something like "the corner of 19th and Villard" is NOT sufficient. Having the street number of the house or building also enables the University of Oregon to follow up on complaints.
You should call even if the Eugene Police Department is unable to respond. Your call allows the city and the University of Oregon to track problems in the neighborhood.
2. Notify the University. Within 24 hours of the incident, if one or more students have been involved, send an email to goodneighbor@uoregon.edu to also notify the university. Your email should include:
3. Email Us at FNA: FNA is also interested in tracking and following up on disturbances that occur within or adjacent to Fairmount neighborhoods. Please send an email to us at fn.board@gmail.com and describe the disturbance. Please be sure to include the address, date and time of disturbance, and any other important imformation.
