About Fairmount Neighbors Committees

The following committees are currently active or have been in the past. Anyone in the neighborhood can join our committees, so if you see one that you are interested in, please contact us to become a part of it!

Communications Committee:

We seek out and relay information to the neighbors about city, U of O, or overall community issues that may affect neighbors. We do this by sending out email news, so sign up for our mailing list. We send out postcards to let neighbors know about general meetings and what is on the agenda.

Emergency Preparedness Committee:

We want to increase our neighborhoods preparedness for a possible an emergency, such as an earthquake, wildfire, or other disaster.

Historic Preservation / Land Use Committee:

We are interested in sharing and preserving the Fairmount history and character of our neighborhood. We are concerned that Eugene's rapid growth and increasing density will adversely affect our historic neighborhood.

Neighborhood Parking & Arena Committee:

We are concerned with parking issues in the neighborhood due to ongoing events in the neighborhood and with the continued development of higher density housing.
